Accelerating Digital Transition in Health

This conference is the final event of the VI Innovation Networking Initiative on the Acceleration of the Digital Transition in Health, a series of 5 seminars organised by the VI regions Lower Austria, North East Romania, and East Netherlands following the JRC’s Innovation Camp methodology, to reflect on how to reduce the burden of traditional healthcare services and to assure the interoperability of medical data.

The main objective of this final event is to highlight the results and deliver the key takeaways from the regional conferences to feedback on administration processes that support the connection of digital and health activities at the regional level.

The panel discussion will focus on the European Health Data Space, which is highly relevant to the large-scale deployment of technology solutions in healthcare.
In the second part of the workshop, the discussion will outline the pivotal role of regions to support the development of strategic Industrial chains and why it is paramount to further interconnect regional innovation ecosystems, as well as to explore ideas on new cross-regional instruments to structurally support joint innovation projects to accelerate Europeans industry’s twin transition.

In this context,  the event will conclude on how the VI regions are collaborating with the European Commission and the Committee of the Regions through the Partnership for Regional Innovation.
